debi9Ross, an Orland Park resident has been attending St. Francis of Assisi Parish for the past 10 years. Raised in South Holland, she graduated from Holy Ghost Grade School, Thornwood High School and with honors from St. Joseph's College with a B. S. in Management. She is the owner of Inside Looks and its divisions, Special Looks and Garden Looks. debi participates in the Art and Environment Committee, is a member of the Helping Hands Committee and the Bereavement Committee which she represents on the Human Concerns Commission. It is her representation on the Human Concerns Commission that brings her to the Parish Pastoral Council. Additionally, debi represents St. Francis on the Parish Outreach Committee, an arm of The Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago and is a member of the Rotary Club of Orland Park. A strong advocate for a parish-wide role on behalf of those served by Catholic Charities, she is a member of the newly formed Catholic Charities sub-committee to the Helping Hands Committee.

Jim3Calcagno has been a member of the parish since 1993. He and his wife, Karen have two children, Kelly and Jimmy, who attend Cardinal Joseph Bernardin School. Jim grew up in St. Frances of Rome Parish in Cicero and went to Fenwick High School. He is a CPA and earned a Bachelor's of Business Administration from Loyola University and an MBA from De Paul University. He is the Vice President of Finance for AtHome America, Inc. in Alsip.

Jim has been a member of the council since 2003 and is currently the chairperson. He is also member of the Liturgy Commission and an Eucharistic minister.

Tim9McCormick, an Orland3Park resident has been attending St Francis of Assisi Parish since 2002. Tim and his wife Linda, were born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and have four children. Tim attended St. Thomas More Grammar School, Quigley South Prep Seminary, Niles Seminary, St Xavier University and Chicago State University. Tim has a M.A. Degree in Criminal0Justice and is employed by the U.S. Department of Justice. In addition to being a member of the Parish Pastoral Counsel, Tim is a Eucharistic Minister, Religious Education Catechist, RCIA Sponsor and Co-Chairman of the Social Committee.

Camille8Clavio and her husband, Fred, have been members of the parish since it was established. They have been married for 42 years, and are the parents of three children, and grandparents of five. Both Camille and Fred are active here at St. Francis. Camille had been coordinator of the Eucharistic Ministers for 15 years, was part of the first CRHP team, currently is coordinator of the welcome committee, and member of the choir. Being active in parish life is a given, since both Camille and Fred were raised by parents who were active within their parishes. "God's rewards far exceed the little effort it takes to be an active member of the parish family."

Susan7Flanagan and her husband, Bernie, have been parishioners of St. Francis since 1999. They have two sons who live in Colorado. Sue is currently the chair of the Adult Faith Formation Board and is one of the representatives from the Education/Formation Commission on the parish council. She is a spiritual director for Christ Renews His Parish, a Eucharistic minister and is a volunteer for Catholic Charities in the Chicago Archdiocese. Sue has a Masters degree in Physical Therapy from Washington University but is currently pursuing a career in art.

Mark9Weber has lived in the Orland Park area with his son Collin since 2001, previously having grown up in St. Barnabas parish of Chicago's south side Beverly area.

From the first day we walked thru the doors of St. Francis as a family, we felt the atmosphere of welcome. As we attended mass, we were amazed at the myriad of activity this parish offered to help us grow in faith.

Mark volunteered to help with some of the details in the new St. Francis center, and then the pledge drive for the Tree of Life campaign which led to joining the Development committee, in addition he  as a member at large for the Parish Pastoral Council, and serves as a Eucharistic minister.

Shanin5Karsky and her husband John have been attending St. Francis of Assisi for 5 years.  They have two children, Kathryn and Dennis.  Shanin is a stay-at-home mom and loving every minute.  She recently completed her sacraments through the RCIA program at St. Francis of Assisi.  She is a co-chair of MOMS (an outreach of the Elizabeth Ministry) and active in Little Angels.

Fr.3Sande4Odour  was born in Kenya, East Africa, to Joseph (deceased) and Angelina Sande. Fr. Sande was raised Catholic along with his two brothers and two sisters. Shortly after high school he joined the Society of Missionaries of Montfort, where he began his seminary studies. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis on philosophy. Following almost six years with the Montfortians, Fr. Sande felt a calling to the Jesuits. It was during his formation with the Jesuits that he discerned a further calling to the Archdiocese of Chicago and entered St. Joseph. In 2007 he graduated from the University of St. Mary of the Lake Seminary in Mundelein with a Masters in Divinity. Fr. Sande has been at St. Francis of Assisi since his ordination where he is experiencing the love of God among the people in our parish community.

Kathleen2(Kathy)5Craven was born in Chicago and grew up in Glenview. She attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Elementary School, Regina Dominican High School and St. Louis University in St. Louis, MO. Kathy has been an elementary school teacher in the Archdiocese for 35 years! She first taught at St. Mary’s in Lake Forest and has now been at St. Christopher’s in Midlothian for the past 32 years! Kathy loves being a teacher and feels very blessed seeing those smiling faces every day and knowing their parents and families.

Kathy and her husband, Ron, have been married for 32 years. They have been living in Orland Park for 19 years and have been parishioners of St. Francis for the past four. They felt immediately welcomed and connected to the parish community and love being involved any way they can. Although Kathy had to give up her allegiance to the Cubs, she and Ron are enthusiastic White Sox supporters. They love cooking and entertaining, golf and trips to Galena with their beloved puppy, Rory!
